Cochin or Kochi is part of the Ernakulam district. For all practical purposes Ernakulam and Kochi are referred to be same. Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace), Mattancherry- The Dutch Palace was originally built by the Portuguese which was later modified and gifted to the Raja of Kochi. The importance of this place is that the coronation of many Rajas of Kochi took place here ..

Bolghatty Palace, Bolghatty Island
The Bolghatty Palace is a Dutch palace situated on Bolghatty Island. There are frequent boat rides to this island which is at a very short distance from the mainland.

Hill Palace, Tripunithura
This is a beautiful palace located at a small distance for the main Kochi town

The Marine Drive which is the backwaters of Kochi and the man made Island called Willington Island are a must visit during Cochin Travel.
